Empowering Elementary & Middle School Students with Real-World Skills for Bright Futures.
Together Friends Organization is committed to helping students from underserved communities obtain a meaningful educational experience. Families are struggling, schools are underfunded, and K-8 children across America are paying the price. Despite ongoing funding cuts to education and afterschool programming, TFO remains dedicated to these students. Our GoFundMe Campaign launches February 2nd 2026, which will help us raise funds for our upcoming events.
Today’s students are facing challenges such as:
Limited access to reliable transportation for afterschool programming, especially in sprawling or underserved areas
Limited access to quality afterschool pre-K and early learning programs
Insufficient access to afterschool and enrichment opportunities, especially for underrepresented groups
A lack of resources, with underfunded schools having larger class sizes and fewer programs, or facing closure altogether
Unequal access to devices and reliable internet at home, especially in low-income communities
Parents and family members who are unable to actively participate in their education due to work or other caregiving obligations
As a result, bright and capable children are falling behind. TFO is dedicated to breaking down these barriers. Through our STEAM/e afterschool programming, we equip students with both the personal and professional skills they need for long-term success. Our forward-focused approach emphasizes the importance of STEAM/e for equipping today’s youth with the skills they need to thrive in the careers of tomorrow. By providing access to these critical educational resources, we empower students who might otherwise miss out on the opportunities they deserve.
Students in our programs continuously show improved self-esteem and improved problem-solving skills. We see them asking more questions, taking more interest in their academics, and inquiring about potential career paths.
